The City of Sheboygan Department of Public Works is providing this advance notice that Union Avenue from Taylor Drive east to the Horace Mann Middle School driveway will be completely closed to traffic as a result of infrastructure improvements associated with the new Aurora Heath Sheboygan County Medical Center. Aurora, along with its contractor Mortenson Construction, and the City of Sheboygan DPW will be reconstructing utilities and road pavements in order to meet the increased demands.
The closure of Union Avenue from Taylor Drive east to the Horace Mann Middle School driveway will be occurring from August 17, 2020 until mid-November 2020. In addition, future closures to the intersection of Taylor Drive and Union Avenue and Union Avenue west of Taylor Drive will be occurring from August 24, 2020 until mid-November 2020. Once the intersection is completely closed, Union Avenue will have limited access depending upon the work phases.
