Construction on Calumet Drive between Saemann Avenue and Geele Avenue will begin on Monday, Monday, May 2, 2022. This project includes the replacement of damaged or cracked concrete pavement. Repairs will also be made to the sanitary and storm sewer.
For the safety of the traveling public and the construction crews, southbound Calumet Drive between Geele Avenue and North 15th Street will be closed all traffic and is expected to be closed for five to six weeks. One lane in the northbound direction will remain open. A detour will be posted using North Avenue and North 15th Street.
Upon completion of the work in the southbound lanes, the project will switch sides and northbound Calumet Drive will be closed to all traffic and one lane in the southbound direction will be re-opened.
All work on Calumet Drive is scheduled to be complete before July 4th.
