The City of Sheboygan shall not be liable for damage to mailboxes and support structures as a result of objects, snow, sleet, ice, water or other precipitation thrown by City plow. If mailbox and/or support structures are physically struck by City owned and operated plow, the City of Sheboygan may at its discretion replace the damaged mailbox and/or support with a standard USPS approved steel mailbox and/or 4"x4" wood post and support. Pickup will start in the beginning of January. Trees are picked up on the same day as your garbage pickup. Trees will be picked up through the end of January.
Instructions: Christmas trees are picked up at the curb. There is NO ALLEY pickup of Christmas trees. Christmas wreaths are picked up with normal curbside garbage collection. Residents are reminded to NOT place trees in plastic bags and remove all ornaments and decorative lights. Trees are recycled by grinding them into wood chips. These chips are available to the public free of charge. Christmas trees can also be disposed of at the Sheboygan Residential Recycling Center on 2026 New Jersey Avenue.

Grass clippings, leaves, branches, brush, and yard waste are all accepted at the Sheboygan Residential Recycling Center on 2026 New Jersey Avenue. Free mulch is also offered to the community from the provided branches.
Wood chips and mulch, when available, can be picked up by residents and the Residential Recycling Center on 2026 New Jersey Avenue.

Carpet or wood can be placed in the garbage cart and it is recommended it is cut into size that fits in the container with the lid closed. No debris placed outside the cart will be collected. For larger quantities the Department of Public Works recommends you use a private disposal service.
